Go to Google, type in “automated marketing systems” and sign up with one of the sites on the first page. Automated marketing systems are websites designed to make you money. Essentially, you just sign on and then sit back and watch while the website makes you money.

Okay, that’s possibly the worst advice anyone could give you. I threw that in just for the fun of it. And to get you thinking – not all advice are created equal. Anybody can give you advice, but is it the correct advice?

So, what advice can I provide that you really must listen to?

Find A Reliable Guide

A good teacher can help you a lot, and she might just be able to pinpoint areas in which you are weaker in and want to work harder at. And as both of you will probably be working closely together, you might want to take a little time to make sure that both of you are compatible with each other and that there is no clash of personalities. A good way might be to start off with a trial session and then you can decide whether to continue after that.

Never Have Less Than Great Content

Give your visitors what they want and they will come back for more. And since they have literally millions of other sites to choose from, anything other than great content just will not do.

The Money Is In The List

Many get-rich-quick programs have pointed to mailing lists as their vehicle of choice to Internet riches. While the techniques they recommend are usually questionable and ineffective, a targeted and responsive list is a great addition to your home based business.

No advice will work for anybody and everybody. So, the best advice that I can give you is to take what others are telling you with a large grain of salt and simply trust in yourself.

What you have been told out there is basic theory. It has probably been effective for many people. But what you should be concerned with is whether it applies to you.

Consider article marketing. There are many different ways to carry out this technique, but the common thread would be that you have to write a lot of articles within a short period of time.

I know of friends who will take half an hour just to write a simple paragraph and of others who are not able to write a paragraph without at least one grammatical error. I highly doubt that they can write articles with sufficient speed and quality to make this technique work for them.

You have to assess all advice in the light of your business, your skills, your interests and your passion. Just because somebody had made good money selling trinkets on eBay does not mean that you should or even can do it.
