Decide upon strict business hours with definite times when you will start work and end work. To work from home, it’s ideal to maintain a planner diary, where you can record your plan for the day.

It’s rewarding in many ways – working from home – because you pretty much don’t have to go anywhere, the pay is decent, and of course, you won’t have to deal with petty office politics! However, keep certain things in mind. Keep motivating yourself, because work from home might, and invariably will sometimes get tremendously lonely, even boring. You might lose the incentive and the desire to work, since there’s no competition- ensure that your work does not suffer, and constantly try to compete against your own performance. Get the support of your friends and family – they should respect your work hours, and you should maintain your professionalism at all times. Plan out a work schedule, as this is important for you to achieve your work objectives.

As is true with everything, there are certain pros and cons to work from home. Your working hours are (for the most part) flexible, but you must maintain certain basic work times, also – you are in your own authority, and the boss of your work. Work from home is good for your health -you might find yourself skipping meals when you’re in office, or having fast food too often – you can always make yourself something healthy when you’re working from home. And being able to spend time with the family is an added bonus! Those are the pros. The cons? The interruptions and disturbances you might come across, the loneliness you might be subject to, and the fact that you might get bored easily.
